THE executive committee member of the Federation of International Football and the Confederation of Africa Football, Dr Amos Adamu, is billed to receive a special award in Ghana on Saturday.

Adamu is being honoured by the Sports Writers Association of Ghana SWAG, for his contribu-tion to sports and football development in particular in Africa.

In a letter dated August 23 and addressed to Adamu, SWAG said the football adminis-trator would also be expected to also deliver a keynote address at the event billed to hold at the Banquet hall of the state House in Accra on Saturday.

The letter signed by Acha Anthony, also stated that the body was pleased with Adamu’s contribution to football development in West Africa.

In a reaction, Adamu, who is also the president of WAFU, said he was elated with the development and stressed that he would personally be in Accra to receive the award.

“Anytime people think about the good things you have done it is only natural for you to respect that. I will be in Ghana to receive the award because I appreciate it," Adamu said.
