Investment in commercial properties on the rise

The role of the private sector in the development of the nation’s property and real estate market can never be overemphasised, especially for a country that is battling with massive housing shortage and deficit which has been put at no fewer than 16 million housing units.

 

REDAN inaugurates taskforce to restore confidence after demolition of N3bn estate

To sooth frayed nerves and restore the confidence of investors in residential estate development, the Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria (REDAN), last week, in Abuja, inaugurated an 11-man task force committee to take intervention steps to douse tension arising from the recent demolition of real estates, said to be worth about 3 billion naira in the Federal Capital Territory.

Many properties in the country, especially those in upmancet places, are wasting away with nobody ready to rent or buy them because of the downturn in the economy which has greatly affected the purchasing power of many people.
