Barely a week after the defection of the former Progressive People’s Alliance (PPA) chairman, Board of Trustees (BoT), Dr Orji Kalu, and other members of the central working committee to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the party has appointed Chief Imo Iboko to replace him.

This decision was ratified at a PPA stakeholders meeting held, on Saturday evening, at the party’s headquarters in Abuja.

Iboko, who became the substantive chairman of the BOT, was formerly the deputy chairman of that “vital organ” of the party.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) also reported that the party equally appointed a caretaker National Working Committee (NWC).

Chief Chris Anele became the new National Chairman to replace Mr Larry Esin, while Mr Emenike Nwachukwu substituted Alhaji Dahiru Abdullahi as the National Secretary of the party.
