THOUSANDS of Muslims marched in Zaria, Kaduna State and burnt the United States (US) and Israeli flags on Thursday, to protest a US-made anti-Islam movie that has drawn demonstrations in various countries.

The protesters, under the auspices of the pro-Iranian Shiite group, Islamic Movement of Nigeria, carried banners and placards denouncing the US and Israel, calling for the prosecution of the film producers.

They dragged the US and Israeli flags along the dusty streets and burnt them at the end of the 10-kilometre march.

Armed policemen in vans escorted the protesters to ward off potential violence in the town.

Meanwhile, it was day of bloodbath and pandemonium as unknown gunmen descended on Ban-dawa village in Adamawa State, killing two persons and maiming several others.

According to the village head, Mr Franis Mbula, who conducted council officials round the village, said the attackers invaded the area, while many families took to their heels for the fear of being attacked.

Anyone that does not want to be probed or criticized is definitely afraid of something.Yes, some criticisms are wrong, but allow them to vouch for themselves.You must not overreact by killing, maiming and destroying what belongs to others to express your displeasure over criticisms or desecration of our religion.That is why it is going to take the next life,if is any, for the likes of me to understand and acknowledge that peace is what Islam is all about.

Anti-Islam film

It is highly unacceptable to result to killing innocent people because of the so called film that 10% of those fighting have not even viewed the film. However, the world should realize that human variation is a permanent concept globally. Some people will be adamant, some would be aggressive, some other will be patient while others will be criminals. Everybody can not be the same. therefore, religion beliefs must be different, and everyone must learn to respect culture, tradition and values of others to avoid unnecessary violent confrontation in the world. It is morally wrong when someone decides to condemn other person's faith. The world, I think should be more civilised in the way we relate to one another. We need peace and so we must all work to get it.

Insanity in Islamic faith

They like to call themselves "the religion of peace" but all we see is violence & intimidation.

This is insanity, killing others for nothing that they have done? Saying that mere words justify the killing of others?

What true religion with a good, kind, merciful and benevolent God can say such things?
