A member of House of Representatives, representing Jos East and Jos South federal constituency, Plateau State, Honourable Bitrus Kaze, has stated that the National Assembly has more than enough reasons to impeach President Goodluck Jonathan apart from non-implementation of budget.

Speaking with newsmen in Jos, Kaze said non-implementation of 2012 budget by 100 per cent by September was just one of the impeachable offences committed by the President Jonathan, adding that the House should have taken up the issues of failure of leadership, insecurity of lives and property and lack of development in all the sectors as part of the reasons for the impeachment.

He said: “In my view, we have better reasons to institute impeachment against Mr. President. My own reason being that a president that cannot secure the lives and property of the citizens, that cannot build good roads, that cannot provide electricity and water cannot continue to be president.”

He said that a president that could not do these was not worthy staying in office.

“On the Plateau, as in elsewhere, people have been killed in droves and we continue to hear of people being killed everyday and we are behaving as if nothing is happening.

“To me, I believe that we have more than one reason to impeach Jonathan. As a a leader, the president has failed many aspects that we should impeach him.

Honourable Kaze said the budget issue his colleagues were hammering on was not genuine enough to warrant impeachment because there was no way the budget could be implemented 100 per cent.

“Remember that the budget is the product of an Appropriation Act and I know that the Act has provisions for amendment. If you can amend a law, it means that that law is not perfect and a law that is not perfect cannot be implemented 100 per cent.”

He strongly condemned the insinuation in certain quarters that Plateau State governor, Jonah Jang, was behind the aspiration of his former Chief of Staff to contest for the senatorial by-election of Plateau North slated for October 6, 2012.

No government anywhere on the planet can continue to remain in power, be it military or civilian when the masses are unemployed; no provision of adequate security; millions of educated Nigerians are unemployed; armed robbers and Boko Haram are frustrating and killing Nigerians at home; endless looting of the national treasury; poor federal roads are everywhere; and the federal government cannot guarantee the safety of all Nigerians. The House of Representatives should commence the impeachment proceedings against the president not just for failure to implement budget but failure to use the federal powers to wipeout the armed robbers and Boko Haram in Nigeria. The people of Nigeria regardless of their geographical location will back any Nigeria president if the person can provide adequate security for all Nigerians by tackling the menace of armed robbers, the killings of innocent Nigerians by the Boko Haram, end the looting of the national treasury, provide good roads, and gainful employment for all young graduates.

Dishonourable Bitrus Kaze head need to be examined, for him to have acknowledged that the budget issue his colleagues were hammering on was not genuine enough to warrant impeachment because there was no way the budget could be implemented 100 per cent. The question is where went he when his colleagues where bringing up the issue of 100 per cent for impeachment of the president, why didn’t he point it out to his colleagues, this shows that we have bunch of idiots in the house, they don’t know what they are there to do. They want to use impeachment to intimidate the president in exchange for more money. Is high time their respective constituency start recalling them. All the issues he listed that they can hold on to impeach the president are laughable. As old as America democracy, all the issues enumerated by Dishonourable Bitrus Kaze are still ravaging America and virtually the entire Europe, expect corruption and coming to corruption the house of representative are not exempted, they are deeply involved, they should first and famous clean themselves before coming to talk of impeaching the president. Is insecurity peculiar to Nigeria? How many country in the world we have head of recent impeach is president base on all the flimsy excuses that this half bake member has listed. This dunce should wakeup from slumber.

The problem of Nigeria is more than what we see. I think the President need prayers. Costructive criticism and constructive solution is needed by the president not pull him down attitude. Honourable Bitrus Kaze should have put himself in Mr President's shoes before concluding that he should be impeached. He's saying he hasn't implemented 2012 budget by 100% as if he is not one of the ministers working with him. If the top is not smooth,check the foundation well. What has Bitrus Kaze gotten to say about the past Presidents if he is giving all these reasons about Jonathan. Maybe it would have been worse if it had been Honourable Kaze. Its a pity people failed to see the good works Mr President has done in Agricultural Sector, Power reform among others. How to make the country a secured one lies in the hand of everybody as Mr President is trying his best but an adage says not one tree can make a forest.
I think it will get much better only if we also start taking security measures individually as this will put a complete end to insecurity in Nigeria.

Honourable Kaze is such a disapointment. Having come from the Plateu himself, is he now holding President Jonathan responsible for the determination of his own people and the Hausa Fulani to mutualy decimate and destroy themselves and in the process take down the country with them? Is Hon. Kaze so retarded or just blinded greed like his co travellers in the house that he fails so spectaclarly to appreciate the tide Jonathan administration is swimming against yet achieving so much? I have not used my Generator in 4mths and that counts for a lot.
