OYO State Commissioner of Police, Mbu Joseph Mbu, has summoned the two warring factional leaders of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in the state to come and explain their roles in the clash which claimed innocent lives including students in the state recently.

The police boss, while answering questions from newsmen at the police headquarters, Eleyele, Ibadan, on Thursday, called on Alhaji AbdulLateef Akinsola, also known as Tokyo and Mr Lamidi Mukaila, popularly called Auxiliary, to report at the police command to explain their roles in the clash at Iwo road.

“As far as law is concerned, the two of them are still declared wanted by the police. Until they show up and explain their roles in the crisis, we would continue to declare them wanted,” he said.

Mbu added that the police would not be deterred by the frivolous court order they brought to the police but would get them arrested wherever they were found if they refused to show up.

He explained that he had no knowledge of any court order restraining the police from arresting them.

“They brought a frivolous court order to us. But the state government has countered it.

“As long as they are leaders of the union, they should come and explain their roles in the crisis. What we want them to do is to come and make statements. Those who know them should tell them,” he said.

It is high time the Security servises started to eliminate these so called NURTW thugs from our society by using Russian KGB styles (Touching or poisoning with Radioactive elements)
