Security: We’re battle ready for Jonathan’s visit to Anambra -CP

The Anambra State Commissioner of police, Mr Ballah Nasarawa, on Wednesday, said the state police was battle ready to provide adequate security for President Goodluck Jonathan, during his visit to the state, adding that all plans had been concluded to ensure a smooth visit.

Nasarawa said his men had been greatly motivated to ensure adequate security of life and property during and after President Goodluck Jonathan’s visit to the state.

He stated further that his command was in high spirit to provide the needed security for the entire state and indeed the commercial cities in the state.

Also, the outgoing Commander, 302 Artillery Regiment, Onitsha, Lieutenant Colonel Michael Durowaiye, also said the army were on ground to make sure that they complement the efforts of other security agencies in the state, to ensure good security coverage during the visit.

The president is expected to commission the Onitsha Seaport, SABmiller Breweries, Orange Drugs Soap factory, Orient Petroleum Company and Krisroyal Plc, among others, all in Anambra State.
