Fear grips Anambra senior staff over panel of inquiry

AN  administrative panel of inquiry in stituted to investigate job racketeering  among senior staff of the Anambra State Local Government Service Commission (LGSC) has raised atmosphere of uncertianty, tension, fears and suspicion among members of staff of the commission.

Nigerian Tribune  investigation revealed that for about four years now, money to the tune of one N100 million had changed hands in illegal and secret recruitment exercises in the commission.

Following the situation, palpable tension now grips senior members of staff, their errand members of staff who collect money for the senior members as middle men and the beneficiaries of the job racket.

It was alleged that they collected between N50,000 and N350,000 from job seekers, issued appointment letters to them and send them to the local government council areas to work and the appointments were said to be restricted to high level manpower and the position determined the amount paid.
