Police arrest employee, 2 others over robbery on boss
AN employee of a Lebanese, who betrayed his boss by organising a robbery operation against him with his friends, has been arrested by the police.
The suspect, identified as Fred and two others, were apprehended by the police from Ekpan, near Warri, after a failed attempt to rob his boss, one Ahamed Zein.
The robbers, however, dispossessed Zein’s father of huge sum of money and other items.
Nigerian Tribune gathered that the employee, a driver to the owner of the popular AJ Bread and Restaurant in Ekpan, plotted with his gang from Lagos to rob his boss.
Sources said, however, that the robbery gang missed its target and decided to rob his father, 70-year-old Afif Zein, who runs a supermarket.
“The robbery gang stormed the house of the Lebanese, but the man had travelled when they struck, but instead, went to his father’s house and dispossessed him of huge amount of money and other items,” a source disclosed.
Nigerian Tribune gathered that the said driver reportedly conspired with his brother, one Oshiapi and Chidozie, as well as one Emenike who resided in Lagos to come along with two others to rob his master.
