25-year-old defiles 4-year-old girl
MEN of the Oyo State police command have arrested a 25-year-old Femi Owolabi for allegedly raping a four-year-old girl (name withheld).
The suspected rapist, who claimed to be barber and commercial motorcycle operator, was arrested in Agugu area in Ibadan South-East Local Government Area of the state on July 30.
The state Commissioner of Police, Tambari Yabo Muhammed, while addressing newsmen in Ibadan, on Thursday, said the suspect raped the daughter of his neighbour.
He said the mother of the victim reported at the Agugu police division that she found her little daughter coming out of the suspect’s room with blood all over her legs.
Muhammed, who was represented by his deputy, Clement Adoda, said that on closer observation, the woman discovered that the girl was bleeding profusely from her private part.
On receipt of the report, the police boss said detectives went after the suspect and got him apprehended.
It was gathered that the medical report confirmed that the girl was actually defiled.
The suspect, however, denied having canal knowledge of the little, saying “I did not rape her.
“As usual, they were many in my room when her mother came to borrow my generating set which she did not return until in the evening.
“I was surprised when the woman came in the morning accusing me of raping her daughter,” the suspect said.
