THE chairman of Conference of Nigerian Political Parties (CNPP), Benue State, Mr Baba Agan, has faulted the impeachment threat by the House of Representatives against President Goodluck Jonathan.

Agan, who spoke to the Nigerian Tribune in, Makurdi, on Monday, said that the plot by the lower chamber had ulterior motives, stressing that the issues raised by the members were cogent, “but i have strong belief that it goes beyond that,” saying, “it is either for political or their selfish interests.”

He maintained that the House should first of all purge itself of all the allegations of corruption hanging on their necks, “because to me, the way I see the whole issue goes beyond what they are saying.. I am sure what they want is not the non-implementation of the budget.”
