THE Plateau State governor, Mr Jonah Jang, has carpeted the Niger State governor, Dr Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu, over his statement condemning the sacking of Fulani from the troubled villages in Plateau State, saying that the statement is Governor Aliyu’s personal opinion and not that of the Northern Governors Forum.

It will be recalled that the Special Task Force (STF) in charge of security in Plateau State, at the weekend, gave 48 hours ultimatum to residents of 10 villages in Barkin-Ladi and Riyom local government areas of the state to leave.

Some group of terrorists, last week, stormed the villages and killed the inhabitants, including two lawmakers and the dastardly act was said to have been carried out by some group of Fulani mercenaries lurking in the areas.

Governor Aliyu, in his capacity as the chairman of the Northern Governors Forum, was quoted to have condemned the military operation on the premise that it would have reverberating effect on other states in the North.

Reacting to the statement, Governor Jang, in a statement by his Director of Press, James Mannok, said he was not aware of the position of the purported forum as announced by Governor Aliyu, adding that he was speaking in his capacity as Niger State governor.

Governor Jang cautioned against statements that conveyed sentiments at a time the country was yearning for greater harmony.

In a related development, Jang has called on the people of the state to rise up and defend their heritage before the current security challenges consume the state.

Gov Aliu should mind the way he talk. not because he was given the previllage as the Chair of northern govs forum he that he would begin to expose his evil intensions.Anywhere, i thank God for opening Aliu's dirty mouth to expose the hearts of most of the northen govs plans against plateau state. He should be mindful of the underdevelopment of his state not to bring down states that are bent on positive development. So he is happy that the primitive fulanis and their hired macinaries continues attack on the hospitable citizens. is that not stupidity for God's sake

I am an igbo man living in Yoruba land. It is my duty to respect the host community. If their ways of life are no more comfortable to me, I will relocate rather than attack them. One cannot be a slave in his father's land by his guest. It is high time the fulanis left Plateau because all the Plateau/Jos crises have been traced to them. They have their father's land somewhere in this country and it is high time they returned there and allow the peaceful Plateau people enjoy their peace.

In all the travails of the Plateau people and that of foreigners living with them, it has always being a mockery on the part of Governor Aliyu and his cohorts to belittle the continued loss of life as he has refused to stand up for the truth. Is it only the Fulanis that are being asked to temporarily relocate? or they are above other citizen as usual?Considering his background as a former permanent secretary,Nigerians expected Governor Aliyu to thread the part of statemanship but this cannot be so after all, a former military head of state refers to his fellow human beings to be killed as baboons. Some Nigerians baffle me with their thinking.

It's sad that we bring sentimemt into whatever we do and say in this country. How could Gov Aliyu be more concerned about the temporary displacement of people in order to bring lasting peace to the plateau? He is even not a Fulani man but a victim of the Fulani Jihad that compeled his forebearers to be muslims. How could he then be a champion of the Fulani people to whom he is one of the slaves courtsy of the Fulani Jihad? He should mind his business of running his state and allow Jang to run his.

I will agree with Governor Jang comment about his state. I am a Yoruba man and I know Yoruba nation extended to Benin Republic, that will not allow any Yoruba in Benin to tell me he is Nigeria or for him to have any voting right in Nigeria.Fulani migrated to Jos does not made him to be indigene of Jos. If visitors or migrants are paying royalties as per Yoruba culture all this will not cause any problem in Nigeria. Fulani should repect the owner of the land and forget the one sided idea of evrything belong to them and again they should embrace mrdern way of feeding their animals instead o wandering about.

The problem with Nigeria is that some people in position of power are foreigners from neighbouring Countries, who find their way to top positions through bribery and corruption. State governments have the right to deport nuisance from their states. It is in African tradition to banish bad people away from the community, everything possible must be done to bring peace back to Nigeria.

Babangida Aliyu is someone That I admire a lot, but it was a great shock to hear such an uncontrolled state from a man of his status and position. Security should be left for people in charge of security or is Babangida the brain behinde the killing and and the BH let us know Babangida Aliyu please for peace and Harmony in the land will you just keep quite and mind your own business. If not because our so call President is weak or we have non most of the state in the North part of the country where the Boko H killing should have been declared state of Emergency.The security votes in such state should have been suspended.
