Police arrest 34 suspected armed robbers in Nasarawa

The Nasarawa State police command has apprehended 34 suspected armed robbers and recovered 50 arms and ammunition in the last two weeks.

The state Commissioner of Police, Mr Abayomi Akeremale announced this at the weekend while briefing newsmen on the activities of the command in the last couple of days.

Mr Akeremale, who appreciated members of the public for furnishing the command with useful information which led to the arrest, added that the suspects were rounded up in different areas within and outside the state capital, Lafia.

Speaking through the new Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr Micheal Ada, a DSP, Mr Akeremale explained that 34 suspects were arrested, one charged to court, while 31 arms, 19 ammunition, 10 vehicles,one motorcycles, five handsets and three masks were recovered from them.
