THE management of the University of Ibadan (UI) has released the 2012/2013 post-Unified Tertiary Education Matriculation (UTME) screening exercise results held on Monday, July 9.

The Director of Public Communication, Mr Olatunji Oladejo, in a statement made available to newsmen, said candidates who attended the screening exercise should log on to the institution’s website to access their results.

The results showed that Adedoyin Ibukun-oluwa (MBBS), Shuaibu Gideon Enebojo (MBBS) and Adepoju Adekunle (Electrical/Electronics Engineering), scored 88 per cent, being the highest mark.

“On the whole, the university invited 7,237 candidates for the screening exercise, based on the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) criteria of merit, locality and educationally less disadvantaged states (ELDS).

“The screening exercise recorded 162 absentees. Only 2,434 (34.4%) of the total number screened passed by scoring 50 per cent and above,” the statement read.
