Cult members on rampage in Auchi Poly
Suspected cult members numbering over 50 and armed with dangerous weapons went on rampage on Thursday at the Auchi Polytechnic, Auchi, beating wounding some students to pulp in the process.
The cult members who were armed with axes also engaged in sporadic shooting, as they marched on the streets of the campus of the polytechnic with audacious impunity.
The rampaging cult members purported to be of the Black Axe were alleged to be on a vengeance mission over last week’s takeover of mantle of leadership from them by the another rival group in the same cult.
The Chief Security Officer of the Auchi Polytechnic was nearly killed while rescuing a security liaison officer of the institution who was about been set ablaze for daring to support a particular group over the other.
