2011: Jonathan’s presidency ’ll not disrupt PDP zoning — Oyedokun
the emergence of President Goodluck Jonathan as the presidential candidate of `the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the 2011 general election will not disrupt future zoning arrangement of the party, former deputy national chairman (South) of the party, Alhaji Shuaib Oyedokun, has said.
Alhaji Oyedokun, who led a group, Friends of Democracy for Goodluck Jonathan from six South-West states that converged on Thursday, in Osogbo, Osun State capital, maintained that President Jonathan’s tenure was a continuation of the tenure of the late President Umaru Yar’ Adua, who died early this year.
Alhaji Oyedokun said that the group was to consolidate the emergence of President Jonathan as the PDP presidential candidate for 2011 general election and his election as the President of Nigeria.
Also at the parley are Senator C. K Awoyelu, from Ekiti, Senator Adefuye; Chief Layi Ogunrinade from Osun State; Alhaji Harum Bidmus, Chief Folami Bamidele, Dr Ogunmuyiwa; Prince S. O. Adeyemo; Alhaji Lasisi Bakare; Honourable Adegbite; Mr Taofeek Olayiwola, Senator Anthony Kukoyi; among others.
