The existence of God and his power ( Be!...)

Share

Who knows God, who ever sees Him? Praised  be to Thee. Qur’an 45 v 36 ‘So all the praises  and thanks be to Allah, the Lord of the heavens and the earth, and the Lord of the ‘Alamin (mankind, Jinn and all that exists)’ Obviously, the creation and existence of God had been a mirage and illusion to any sentient creature on earth. Before the creation of man on earth there had been some creatures that existed before man, among which are the Angels.

Q.2. V.30, And (remember) when your Lord said to the Angels’ ‘verily, I am going to place (mankind) generations after generations on earth.’ They said; will you place therein those who will make mischief therein and shed blood, while we glorify you with praise and thanks name…’

Though apart from the Angels, there are other sentient being like man; some are regarded as sons of God according to the teachings in the book of Genesis 6 v 1-4. But Qur’an made us to understand the world of Jinn along side mankind in this planet. Qur’an 15 v27 ‘And the Jinn, We created aforetime from the smokeless flame of fire’.

Since the creation, Man being the last of the creatures on earth had been curious to know God, who is the creature but no one does; even the scientist who rather regarded Him as the Nature thought that there is no God because no body could see Him physically. Qur’an 6 v103 ‘No vision can grasp Him, but He grasps all vision.. .’

The book of Geneses 1-6 speaks more on the creation. Qur’an 29 v. 19-20 ‘See they not how Allah originates the creation, then repeat it, Verily, that it easy for Allah.  Say; ‘Travel in the night and see how (Allah) originated the creation, and then Allah will bring forth the creation of the hereafter …’ These Qur’anic verses testified. 43 v. 9-10, Q. 21 v. 104, Q. and Q. 50 V.15-16.

However, God Himself had rather relent on choosing men (messengers) among the children of Adam to teach and establish His words and the knowledge of His existence. These prophets/messengers are the anointed ones among the children of Adam. ‘25’ of them were mention in the Qur’an. They were regarded as messengers of Allah and the prominent among them are Adam, Noah (Nuh.), Ibrahim (Abraham), Musa (Moses), Isa (Jesus) and Muhammad. May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon them.

Qur’an 2 V.151 says ‘Similarly (to complete my Blessings on  you) We have sent among you a messenger of your own , reciting to you our verses and purifying you , and teaching you the book (Scripture) and (Hikmah) the Sunnah, Islamic Laws and (Figh-jurispudence) and teaching  you that which you know not..’.

It is then apparent that before the advent of Prophet Mohammad (p.b.o.h.), there existed many messengers that came and gone. And the common messages they brought was the tenets of creation of the world, knowledge of God and His existence and perhaps the unity of God; which is oneness of Allah; suffice to say they are preachers of monotheism (TAUHID).

John 17 v.3 ‘And this is life eternal, that they might know Thee, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom Thou has sent’

Mark 12 v28-30 ‘ And one of the scribe came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, ‘which is the first commandment of all?’ And Jesus answered him; the first of all the commandment is; hear O Israel, the Lord, thy God is One Lord….’ See Mark 12 v32-34 and Mathew 23 v8-9 for more teachings of monotheism by Jesus.

Qur’an 112. ‘Says He Allah is one. He is self sufficient who all creatures need (He neither eats nor drinks). He begets not nor was He begotten .And there is non co-equal or comparable unto Him’. Also see Qur’an 2 v. 132-135.

Actually, from the beginning these messengers of God never had rest of mind in their life time. None among them had delivered their messages without hindrance, molestation, embarrassment, beaten and all sort of maltreatment. Some were killed while some were sent out of their land in the cause of Allah. Examples of these are Yahyah (John the Baptist) who was beheaded and holy prophet Mohammad (PBOH) who was chased out of Mecca.
