GOVERNOR Idris Wada, the newly sworn-in governor of Kogi State, has started his tenure and administration on a sound footing. The governor has clearly demonstrated that, now is time for hard work and serious business of state administration.

He affirmed this resolve when he told his kinsmen and other well wishers to stay off the Government House, in order not to distract and slow down the take-off of his administration’s transformation agenda, on a high speed.

That singular action of his, is one of the gauge of a serious minded leader, who is well equipped and ready for the state’s business.

Anyway, one is not surprised as  Governor Wada is a well grounded and disciplined military officer, unlike those who are not prepared for leadership, and who may cash in on that opportunity to start celebration, merry-making and turning themselves into “Owambe Governor”.

We congratulate and wish him a successful tenure of office. May Allah grant him peace and assist him to choose people of like minds into his administration for the good of the average Kogite.

We also urge other governors to emulate this good starter.
