UNIFEMGA condemns violence, insurrection

The Obafemi Awolowo University Muslim Graduates Association (UNIFEMGA) has condemned all forms of violence and insurrection masquerading under the guise of politics, ethnic or religion beliefs in the country.

The association in a communique issued at the end of a three-day Leadership Retreat held in Omu Aran, Kwara State, pldeaded with such perpetrators to stop forth with or incur the wrath of Allah.

In the comunique signed by the association's National President, Dr AbdulWahab Egbewole and National Public Relations Officer, Alhaji      Abdur-Rahman Balogun, UNIFEMGA noted that impacting entrepreneurial skills in  the graduating students and members alike would go a long way in reducing rate of unemployment and joblessness in the country.

Such skills, if well impacted, it said would equally assist in solving the security challenges in the country and youth restiveness, adding that empowerment of youths and alumni alike through various wealth creation schemes, should be encouraged and developed.

It said that, in line with its mission statement, it would continue to support scholarship and educational upliftment of students, saying that it had committed over N10 million on scholarships for OAU students.

It said that the on-going students' hostel and OAU Central Mosque projects being championed by the association  would be completed within record time as presently reworked.
