NHC partners Saudi govt to feed Nigerians on Hajj

AGREEMENT has reached between the National Hajj Commission and Saudi Arabian government aimed at feeding Nigerian pilgrims in Mecca and Munna during this year’s holy pilgrimage.

The Executive Secretary, Taraba State Muslim Pilgrim’s Welfare board, Alhaji Habibu Almakki, made this known while speaking with Gamji in Jalingo.

He explained that the purpose was to stop pilgrims from eating contaminated and unhealthy food in the holy land.

Habibu Almakki said the measure would also minimise the incidence of pilgrims contacting diseases as a result of eating bad food.

He said selected caterers had been directed to put things in order three days before the commencement of the Hajj operation.

On accommodation matters, the Executive Secretary said adequate arrangement had made to ensure the pilgrims were comfortable while in the holy land.
