The federal lawmaker, who gave the advice on the occasion of his scholarship distribution to students in his constituency, said the menace of Boko Haram and other insecurity challenges bedevilling the country required a holistic approach to tackle.

“Nigerians, especially those in the northern part of the country, are getting sick of the insecurity which is also affecting the socio-economic condition of this part of the country.

“If all hands are not on deck to arrest this monster, it may shatter our collective dream of building a virile society.

“It is time for all to rise up and team up to arrest the pathetic situation.

“If all members of both the National Assembly and state Houses of Assembly can move to their respective constituencies and impress it on the people on the need to embrace peace, there would be peace in Nigeria” he said.

He added that the tradition rulers also need not rest on their oars towards building a peace society for Nigeria, adding that they were in a better position to fish out bad element within any community than the law enforcement agencies, since they are known to be closer to the grass roots.
