Jonathan, a trainee president - ACN •ACN only celebrates people’s tragedies - PDP
In a statement issued in Ilorin on Tuesday by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the party wondered how else one can describe the administration’s lack of capacity to be proactive or respond in a timely and robust manner to the recent catalogue of woes and national calamities.
In the opinion of the party, the continued bungling of the Boko Haram insurgency which is harvesting more deaths almost on a daily basis, the unstoppable carnage on the Nigerian roads, the executive somersaults of the administration on policy issues, and in general the slow, unfocused and uncertain responses of government to issues depict a government on internship.
According to the ACN, the closure of the Lokoja-Abuja highway which has cut off Abuja, the federal capital city due to flooding of roads and bridges on the Abuja-Lokoja highway, signposts the extent of the country’s decayed national infrastructure and exposes the incapable hands entrusted to salvage them.
However, even worse is the fact that the president has not deemed it fit to comment on this disaster, neither has there been any visit by a federal minister or any co-ordinated response to the disaster from the central government, the ACN statement said.
On a weekend of multiple disasters such as the Lokoja flooding, the bomb blast in Bauchi, and the two weeks of non-stop flooding all around the country, the ACN alleged that the president’s handlers showed more concern in informing Nigerians about President Jonathan’s trip to the United Nations General Assembly summit than explaining or proposing a co-ordinated response to these calamities.
The disposition of President Jonathan’s administration to the welfare of Nigerians, the ACN said, confirmed the widely held belief that the welfare or well-being of Nigerians is definitely not a priority to his government, otherwise why could the president not find time to visit even by helicopter the disaster zones to at least give hope to the victims or their relations, the party queried.Share

How I wish this ACN should learn to respect the presidency by choosing decent words to express whatever it has to say. Criticism and opposition are inevitable ingredients of democracy but it is more decent to convey opinions without being disrespectful to the constituted authority. It has become the character of the ACN to denigrate and ridicule the presidency in the name of criticism. Deep down, the way they talk about the Nigerian Presidency is a reflection of the respect they have for Nigerians. Other nations experience calamities but the opposition will never ridicule the authority in the guise of criticism. President Jonathan should, however pay calculated attention to the problem of the Lokoja/Abuja road. Flooding is a natural disaster which must call for collaborated solution by all tiers of government. PRESIDENT Jonathan staying away from the UN conference will not solve the problem of flooding. As a political party. What efforts did the ACN make to assist in resettling the flood victims? We have seen individuals IiKe PROPHET TB JOSHUA rendering helping hands in similar situations rather than abusing the authority.

Liar Mohammed with his lie-infested Tinubu's private property, ACN is still yet to learn the rudiments of responsive leadership in democracy?!
For him and his destructive propaganda oiled party (ACN) to use Jonathan's decision to listen to the voice of the people on 5,000 naira note as policy somarsault and as an avenue to insult and abuse on a move that passes for a big plus for the President is very indicative of the non-responsive and stiff-necked government they would run if they were in office as president???!
I'm very happy that Nigerians are beginning to see through their lies one (Democrates congress invitation, etc) by one! With this, presidency will continue to elude them!

I wonder when this loud mouth of ACN would learn to talk on issues of National tragedy with some sense of decorum that befits his age? his incessant abuse of the office and person of the president of Nigeria has shown that he is either daft or bereft of a decent up bring for a Yoruba extract, how else would one explain his uncultured comments against the president on issues of National concern which if he and his party are given the opportunity to handle would flutter, he is quick at criticizing without proffering alternative solutions and also quick at lamenting when criticized by others a case at hand is the claim by Tinubu of being invited by Obama for the Democratic convention which turned out to be the mother of all lies, we all saw how he cried, he has not made any comments on the multiple taxes in Lagos and the looming Public school teachers strike, Lying Mohammed please remove the spec in your eyes first before seeing that of others, if your party plans on taking over the leadership of this country then you must respect people that are placed in leadership position by the people of the country.

Am happy that Nigerians are now seeing clearer the ugly nature of ACN as an opposition party, especially the incessant ridicule of our constituted government by Lai Mohammed. This is unbecoming of a true patriotic Nigerian leader. So in all these statement, how have you helped by way of proffering solution, the Nigeria and Nigerians you claim to love and concerned for. Just talking with intention to pull down, yet unfortunately you run yourself and your party down the more. We are fed up of your style of opposition!

Many of the comments on this issue are the reasons why Nigeria is still backward. Why are people shouting then, anyway Nigerians always think God will come down to help them and why the resort to fate on every issue. Lai Mohammed more grease to your elbow you are doing a great service to the nation.Go and read great Awo's book on opposition and learn from some advanced countries to know that opposition is meant to put Govt in power on her toes.Up ACN. We love you

It is very sad that Nigerian oppositions play their roles as an underage children. If President Jonathan is trainee Presdent who else in Nigeria is trained apart from Shagari and Obasanjo don't forget that Atiku did not patient enough to get freedom from his master to this end he is a drop out politically. If ACN throughly beleif that nigeria belong to all of us they should tell the whole nation the way to tackle this Boko haram or to let us know what they should do if they are in the position of Jonathan.

"Other nations experience calamities but the opposition will never ridicule the authority in the guise of criticism".The above is credited to Mr. Siji Akindiose earlier contribution.
You try this as a President in a developed country and you show an insensitivity to people's plight by not responding in time to their calamities.......you will pay a price for this at the polls.
The President in time of National calamities is supposed to be "Sympathizers In-Chief".
A leader who does not understand is is simply an MIA-MISSING IN ACTION.People like Mr.Akindiose are trying to insult the intelligence and aspirations of Nigerians that we deserve thoughtful, compassionate and proactive leaders.
