There can’t be another Awo again -ACN

LAGOS State chairman of the Action Congress of Nigeria (CAN), Chief Henry Ajomale, on Wednesday, said the vision of the sage, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, could only be realised, arguing that there can never be anybody like him again.

Politicians, according to him, should only work towards achieving his vision, rather thinking of how to become another Awolowo.

Making this known in a chat with the Nigerian Tribune, Ajomale said the sage left a legacy and footprints in infrastructure, education and other sectors, adding that it is now left for politicians to work towards the realisation of his vision.

He described the allegation that the ACN was planning to rig the October 20 governorship election in Ondo State as laughable, adding that “we are not in government, it is the Labour Party and it has the wherewithal to rig the election.”

Condemning the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for describing the Eko Atlantic City Project as a waste of revenue, the ACN state chairman said “every Lagosian should be proud of the revolution going on in Lagos. Atlantic city is to be the pride of Lagos. How can you attribute that to the ocean surge?”
