YERIMA’S RIGHTEOUSNESS
THE former governor of Zamfara State,Senator Ahmed Sani, deserves apologies from all Nigerians judging by the way he was vilified over his insistence on the implementation of the Islamic legal code — the Sharia.
FOUR years after leaving office, Sani, the Yeriman Bakura, told journalists: “When I was leaving the Government House, I had only N65 million in my account.” The fact that with N65 million, he said he was able to buy a N250 million house in Abuja and pay a bride price of 100,000 dollars on a 13-year-old Egyptian girl shows that the ways of God are indeed unsearchable.
THESE recent revelations of his status show that Sani is not one of those who preach: Do as I say and not as I do.
