Community wants council boss sacked

THE people  of Rimin Gado Local Government Area of Kano State have called on the state governor, Dr. Rabi,u Musa Kwankwaso, to remove the Interim Management Officer (IMO), Alhaji Abdulhamid Ali Takai, for his alleged negligence of duty, absenteeism and non-performance.

The community noted that the officer was incompetent to run the affairs of the local government council because of his unpatriotic nature.

This was disclosed in Kano  by the leader of the community delegation Alhaji Saleh Jili, when they paid a courtesy visit to the deputy governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, in his office.

According to him, they visited the deputy governor in order to lodge their complaints of the non-performance, absenteeism and neglect of duty of the council boss in the area.

Comrade Jili told the deputy governor that the council boss failed to respond to the yearnings of the people of the area after persistent requests to the Interim Management Officer to take to advice given to him on the needs of the people of the council area.

He commended the governor for his concern and support to the people of the local government, especially on the appointment of the indigenes of the area in various positions in the state.

He cited some of the problems facing the area to include shortage of potable water.
