The Olowo of Owo,Oba Folagbade Olateru-Olagbegi, has urged the people of Ondo State to continue to support the present administration in the state to enable it bring further development to various communities.

The monarch, who said this during a recthe seven Permanent Secretaries from Owo Local Government, in the State Civil Service, said the Dr Olusegun Mimiko-led administration had developed infrastructure in the town.

According to him, the present administration has invested in the development of many of the towns and villages across the state, particularly in Owo community and should be supported to continue to deliver the dividends of democracy in the state.

The traditional ruler, who was represented by the Ugwadogbon of Owo Kingdom, High Chief Ademola Obanoyen, said the state government had accorded Owo community its desired place.

The traditional ruler noted that the appointment of seven Permanent Secretaries from the local government area was an indication that the state government recognised Owo as the cradle of democracy in Nigeria.

He said apart from the appointment, the state government had embarked on dualisation of Owo township road, construction of modern market and the rehabilitation of the Ose dam for provision of potable water for the people of the community.

Also speaking, the Permanent Secretary, Police Service Commission, Taye Haruna, expressed appreciation to the state government over the appointment of the permanent secretaries and the development of the community.

He said, “Although, I live in Abuja, I can see the developmental efforts of the state government, I see that the governor is trying to turn Owo roads to four lanes and some other things are being done.

“I can only ask the governor to continue to provide good governance to the people to enable the people feel the impact of government and also contribute to further development of the state.”
