As a way of affirming its brand essence of promoting the health and wellbeing of Nigerian families, MultiPro Enterprises Limited, makers of HYPO Super Bleach, has partnered the Lagos State Ministry of Health on the first round of the 2012 Maternal, Newborn and Child Health Week, which ended in Lagos recently.

The week-long programme was a collaboration between the Federal Government and the states’ ministries of health to accelerate the attainment of the Millennium Development Goals 4 and 5.

Speaking at the grand finale, the Senior Sales Manager, MultiPro Enterprises Limited,  Mr Jude Nzeata, described the company’s partnership with  the state’s health ministry as another step in the fulfilment of its  continued desire to contribute to the realisation of a clean and healthy nation which it started with the introduction of affordable bleach for all.

He explained that beyond the several millions of naira involved in the partnership through the production of Information and Enlightenment Campaign materials, the company also gave out free products at all the 388 health centres visited during the programme.

“Through our involvement with the MNCH programme, we have also spread our message on hygiene and given samples of Hypo Bleach to an additional 155,000 mothers in Lagos State.

‘We believe the Millennium Development Goal of having 70% of Nigerians living with basic sanitation and hygiene by 2015 can be achieved by first making our homes clean, safe and hygienic places for our mothers, children and other members of the family,’ he added. 

Speaking on behalf of the Lagos State Ministry of Health, the Dzeputy Director and Head of Department, Family Health and Nutrition, Dr Folashade Oludara, commended Hypo for coming on board to support the MNCH programme, adding that the company had played a major part in attracting mothers and other participants through the sampling of their products in all the centres covered during the week.
