9 pipeline vandals arrested

MEN of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Delta State have arrested nine suspected pipeline vandals and impounded 11 trucks of petroleum products.

Commander of the corps, Mr. Bola Ali, told newsmen in Asaba that the vandals were arrested in Ughelli.

According to him, the vandals attacked his men with some of them sustaining head and arm injuries.

“Four of the trucks are now parked at the premises of the corps in Asaba,” he said.

Mr. Ali said that in an attempt to escape being arrested, the driver of one of the trucks crashed into a building at Okpanam, near Asaba.
