Air Force officer rapes seven-year-old girl

A retired Air Force Officer has been caught raping a seven-year-old girl. He was caught in the act when the agonising cry of the girl attracted passer-by to a building where the officer raped the victim at Airport Village in Makurdi, Benue State.

When the girl was found lying on the floor in her pool of blood, a female passer-by contacted the police who effected the arrest of the officer and took him to the Air Force Police Station.

The alleged rapist, Mr. Ota, popularly known as Palle, according to eyewitnesses, lured the young girl to a room and applied oil on her body before taking advantage of her.

The passer-by rushed to the room where the rape took place after hearing the cry of the little girl.

The shocked woman, raised an alarm which attracted members of a vigilante group that eventually rescued the girl before the suspected rapist was handed over to the Police at the Air Force Base.
