Ogbuke pleads for Mikel - Beijing Olympics

Chinedu Obasi Ogbuke has said that he would want his friend John Mikel Obi to be part of the Beijing Olympics team.

“It’s kind of difficult for me as well because Mikel is my friend and what can I say? You beat your child with the right hand, you draw him back with the left,” Ogbuke said.

“I think he should be given a chance, we need him in the team. “At the end, I am not the coach, he has the final say and his decision is final on who is in the team or who misses out.”

Ogbuke said he was also happy with the draw that pitched Nigeria with Holland, the USA and Japan in the same group.

“I really think it’s a tough group but there is nothing impossible, we just have to get our act together, work hard, trust and just keep believing.”

“We have a great team that I think will go all the way. I don’t think it’s going to be much of a problem for us but the key is to stay together and work hard. I believe the sky will be our limit,” Ogbuke told Kick Off Nigeria. com.
