Corruption: Expect more revelations on OBJ - AC

THE Action Congress (AC) has predicted that Nigerians, who are currently rattled by the damning revelations of alleged corrupt practices recorded during the eight-year tenure of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, would be inundated with more of such in the future.

The AC made the prediction through its spokesman in Oyo State, Mr. Wasiu Olatubosun, in a reaction to the shock and disbelief expressed in some quarters over revelations emanating from different probe panels set up to review certain decisions taken in some key sectors by the immediate past administration.

“If Nigerians think they have heard enough of corrupt practices under Chief Obasanjo and many of his loyalists, including members of his family, they should prepare themselves for more messy details of the ‘Ota farmer’s’ many sins against Nigeria and humanity in general when he was holding sway as the president of the world’s most populous nation.

“AC is cocksure of the fact that what Nigerians have been made to know so far represents a meagre proportion of corruption under Obasanjo. This is so because his many shady deals have been discovered to be sponsored by some individuals and groups within the same Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) that supported the former president to drive the nation backward throughout his two-term misrule,” the party said.
