South Africa 2010: Olofinjana goes

OlofinjanaNIGERIAN international, Seyi Olofinjana, believes the Super Eagles would make it to the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, saying that he would personally go spiritual to ensure this is achieved.
The dark-skinned player spoke with Tribunesports on Sunday shortly after his ordination as an Evangelist at the Anu Aseyori Oluwa Church, Akobo, Ibadan.
Speaking on the team’s campaign for a place in the South Africa 2010 World Cup, Olofinjana explained that the point secured in Rades against Group B leader, Tunisia, was vital to the team, which he said had put the Eagles in a vantage position to win the group’s sole ticket.
“With that draw in Tunisia, I believe our chances of picking the ticket to South Africa are now bright. All we have to do is to remain focused and win our remaining matches starting with the return leg tie against Tunisia in Abuja in September,” he said.
The Stoke City player, however, said the Eagles did not play defensive football against Tunisia, saying that, “we were only cautious against the Tunisians because we knew what they could do if they were allowed to play with much space.”
Asked on how he hopes to combine his role as an evangelist and footballer, the former Kwara United midfielder said there would be no problem, stressing that evangelism was something that could be done anywhere and at anytime. “This is something I have been doing before even among my teammates,” he submitted.
