Soji-Eze Fagbemi, Abuja - 30.06.2009
As part of efforts
towards addressing the gross unemployment situation in the country and mitigate the effects of the global economic meltdown, the Federal Government has established a Turkish-Nigeria Business Council.
The Minister of Labour and Productivity, Prince Adetokunbo Kayode, disclosed this, on Monday, at a meeting between him and the Turkish Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. Aykut Sezgin, at the conference hall of the ministry.
The setting up of the council was the outcome of the recent visit of the Labour Minister to Turkey on the invitation of the Turkish government in a bid to exchange ideas on how to tackle the issue of unemployment and job creation.
Already, Prince Kayode said the Turkish-British Council had been approved by the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and would be inaugurated soon after all the stakeholders had been consulted.
