N70m endorsement deal for D’Banj

D'Banj
D’Banj is on the verge of signing a N70m deal with a telecoms company that will have him travel the nation on musical tour to promote the company’s product and services.

RMT source, who was in Victoria Island few weeks ago where he learnt that D’Banj was expected to have put paper to pen with the company at the meeting.

After repeated calls to D’Banj were not returned, RMT called Don Jazzy, but his spokesperson said it wasn’t the first time D’Banj would be paid handsomely for endorsing a product.

“It’s true we met with a company to discuss something of that nature, Mo Hits management has not directed that the details be made public,” he said.

Following the step of another company that recently took Tu Face Idibia on the tour of the country for six weeks, the telecom company is said to have paid the huge amount to surpass what the “African Queen” crooner earned for his service.

However, a source at the telecom company confirmed that the deal had been signed, but they were yet to make it public.

“It’s not professionally safe to divulge such information when the artist in question has not signed on agreements, but we are sure to get him to do what is best for both parties,” she said.
