Ladoja is politically sick, says Akala - We will know who is sick soon - Ladoja

Governor Adebayo Alao-Akala of Oyo State on Monday in Ibadan took a swipe at his predecessor in office, Senator Rashidi Ladoja, on his roles in last Saturday’s bye-election in Lagelu/Akinyele Federal Constituency, describing him as a “sick politician and paper weight who has no visible political party.”

But Ladoja, through his Chief Media Officer (CMO), Alhaji Bashir Latinwo, in a swift reaction, said “ in the next three weeks, we would know who is sick between Senator Ladoja and himself.”

Governor Akala stated this at the Molete residence of a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Lamidi Adedibu, while on a visit to congratulate him on the success of the party at last Saturday’s poll.

According to Akala, who was out of the state to attend the burial ceremony of the father of the Vice President, Goodluck Jonathan, in Bayelsa State during the election, “I am here to greet Baba Adedibu, appreciate what happened last Saturday and to also appreciate the arrangement made by Baba towards the victory of the party last Saturday”

He stated further that “Ladoja said he had left Baba Adedibu as his political father and had picked Senator Bola Tinubu of Lagos State as his replacement. He went outside Oyo State to pick a godfather. He could not even, on his own, campaign in his state of origin, but he decided to import from Lagos and Anambra states. He was saying it with nostalgia and all vigour on the radio. He must be politically sick.”

According to Latinwo, ”last Saturday’s election was a ruse. It was widely rigged and if that is what Governor Akala is calling acceptance, then he should be ready to pack his loads from the Government House because we would soon know who is politically sick in the next three weeks.”
