ANPP, AC members join PDP in Afijio

THE second term ambition of the Oyo State Governor, Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala on Saturday received a boost in Afijio Local Government of the state, when hundreds of ANPP and AC members publicly decamped into the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The decampees who were led by Mr. Bayo Owolabi, were received on behalf of the governor by the Secretary to the State Government, Chief Olayiwola Olakojo, who also delivered the governor’s address, with a promise that the government is committed to the welfare of the people.

According to the party chairman in the state, Chief Deji Afolabi and Chief (Mrs) Kemi Jayeoba, the decampees took the action as a result of the various achievements of the governor in the last two years.

Those who attended the event included, the speaker, Moroof Atilola, Hon. Niran Alarape, Alhaji Bashir Akanbi, Alhaji Yahaya Adetunji, Hon. Hosea Agboola and other PDP leaders in the local government.
