Sterling Bank boosts Lagos FA Cup

Sterling Bank PLC, has boosted the on going Lagos FA Cup with N3 million just as the competition’s round of 16 begins today in different centres across the state.

Speaking on Wednesday at a media parley at the LSFA office to unveil the bank’s sponsorship package for the FA Cup, the executive director, Treasures and public sector, Mr Lanre Adesanya, who though decline to make public, the amount involved in the package expressed happiness that the sponsorship, spanning two years will get better.

According to him, the bank is determined to partner the Lagos State Football Association to develop the round leather game at the youth level, adding that, the bank wants to see a Lagos team play in the premier league next season, thus its willingness to assist in this area.

Tribunesports however, scooped from a reliable source that part of the sponsorship grant will cover logistics and prize money among other things.

Chairman of Lagos FA, Waid Akanni, who expressed appreciation also enjoined other corporate bodies to emulate the bank in the sponsorship of sporting events in the state.
