Yakubu has lifted Everton - Moyes

EVERTON boss, Dave Moyes admits Nigerian striker Yakubu Aiyegbeni has lifted his team to a new level. Moyes said: "I always felt that if he scored for us the way he did for Middlesbrough and Portsmouth we would go up another couple of places in the table.
"Micah Richards and Richard Dunne are two top centre halves but he gave them a real tough time.

"They were immense against Manchester United at Old Trafford but Yakubu did really well." In another development, Moyes is ready to move for Newcastle United coach Steve Round.

The Evening Chronicle says Moyes is stepping up his interest in Round following Newcastle's appointment of Chris Hughton to Kevin Keegan's staff this week.

Another Premier League team is also looking at former England coach Round.
