27.06.2009
OGUN State Governor Otunba
Gbenga Daniel, has described Oba Adetunji Amidu Osho as a worthy successor to the late Oba Funso Adeolu, the Alaye Ode of Ode Remo, who joined his ancestors about a year ago.
The governor stated this at the formal installation of Oba Osho as the new traditional ruler of Ode Remo on Thursday.
The governor said given the new monarch’s administrative and professional experience, he would contribute to the growth of his domain, Remoland, and Ogun State in general.
He advised him to build on the general consensus that greeted his choice by working for the peace, progress and rapid economic development of his domain through a robust engagement with the people.
Governor Daniel said he should see the enviable achievement and fame brought to Ode Remo by his predecessor, Oba Adeolu, popularly called Eleyinmi, as a challenge, urging him to use the past as a solid foundation for an even more glorious future.
He said his administration would continue to hold the traditional institution in high esteem as remain the translators , interpreters and mediators of government developmental objectives, projects and goals.
