Ogbulafor sets up panel on PDP reconciliation

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Wednesday announced the appoint-ment of an 18-member committee saddled with the review of the report of the Chief Alex Ekwueme-led National Reconcilia-tion Committee of the party.

The appointment of the committee, disclosed in a press statement by the National Publicity Secre-tary of the party, Professor Rufai Ahmed Alkadi, was said to be part of the plans of the new national executive committee of the party, led by Prince Vin-cent Ogbulafor, to redeem the image of the party and move it forward.

Members of the commi-ttee are Dr. Bello Muham-med who is the chairman, Ambassador Hassan Adamu, Professor Jerry Gana, Dr. Shettima Musta-pha, Senator Ibrahim Ida, Senator Gbemisola Saraki-Fafowora, Honourable Martha Bodunrin, Hon-ourable Halims Agoda, and Mr. Francis Elechi.

Others are Senator Udo Udoma, Honourable Dupe Sasore, Alhaji Shuaib Oyedokun, Senator Haliru Idris, Ambassador Frank Ogbuewu, Senator Onyea-bor Obi, Ambassador Aminu Wali and Dr. Garba Nadama.

Deputy National Secretary of the Party, Dr. Musa Babayo, will serve as the secretary of the committee which terms of reference, according to the statement, are to study the Ekwueme panel report and examine its sub-mis-sions and recommenda-tions; determine aspects of the report that can be implemented immedia-tely and the modalities for their implemen-tation and recommend imple-mentation time.
