Tribune listed among 50 best online newspapers

Apparently in confirmation of the extensive acceptability and wide readership of Nigeria’s oldest surviving newspaper, the Nigerian Tribune has been ranked among the top 50 most visited newspapers online in the world.

The latest ranking, released last week by onlinenewspapers.com, an online newspapers access website, indicates that the Nigerian Tribune enjoys readers’ confidence and visits from longtime visitors and new ones who have found the content of the Nigerian Tribune online package irresistible and authoritative.

Six Nigerian newspapers, three newspapers in Bangladesh and one in Pakistan made the top 50 list and the Nigerian Tribune is one of them.

In the recent past, the Nigerian Tribune has undergone a strategic turnaround that has seen it expanding its market share within Nigeria and claiming its place among the best in the country.

This has seen many readers commending the management and staff of African Newspapers of Nigeria (ANN) Plc, publishers of Tribune titles, for a job well done.

Many of them now see the Nigerian Tribune as first among equals, appreciating the newspaper’s role as a pace-setter.
