Why I resigned - Aduku
Clement Idoko, Abuja - 27.03.2008
FORMER Minister of State for Health, Mr. Gabriel Aduku, on Wednesday maintained his innocence of the corrupt allegations levelled against him and the Health Minister, Professor (Mrs.) Adenike Grange.
He said his resignation was to allow the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to conclude its in vestigations.
“My decision to resign is informed by my firm belief that while I remain innocent of all the charges levelled against me in the EFCC report, I consider it appropriate that I should leave the stage to give unfettered opportunity to the EFCC to conclude its enquiries,” he had said in his letter of resignation to President Umaru Yar’Adua.
