Dismissal: Ribadu knows fate today

A federal high court
sitting in Abuja,
will, today, rule on the case brought before it by the former chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Malam Nuhu Ribadu, challenging his dismissal from the Nigerian Police force.
Though, the judgment ought to have been delivered on Wednesday, June 24, by the court, the absence of Justice Mustapha Abdullahi, stalled it.
The former EFCC boss had dragged the Police Service Commission (PSC), Inspector General of Police (IGP) and the Minister of Justice and Attorney-General of the Federation, Michael Aondoakaa (SAN), before the court, challenging his dismissal from the force.
Mallam Ribadu was dismissed from the force on December 23, 2008.
One of the counsel in the matter had told the Nigerian Tribune, on Wednesday, that the court would rule on the matter on Friday, June 26 (today).
