The Boko Haram
sect has been
warned not to threaten the peaceful coexistence of the Yoruba, especially Ibadan people.
Reacting to a story, where members of the Boko Haram sect were alleged to have threatened to attack Iba-dan and some Yoruba cities in Nigeria, the Arole Aare Latosa of Yoruba-land, Aare Adegboyega Mabinuori (JP), in a statement wondered why a group should threaten the peace of another because of its belief.
Aare Mabinuori, who is also the Culture Ambassador of Oyo State, has, however, said the sect’s threat could not “move the people of Yorubaland, especially Ibadan people.”
He referred the sect to historical records on how the Ibadan army dealt with such groups in the past.
