rate reduces in FCT

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Administration has reduced the HIV/AIDS prevalence rate in the Federal Capital Territory from 10.4 per cent to 6.3 per cent through it deliberate efforts to drastically wipe-out the disease from the territory.
The FCT Minister, Dr. Aliyu Modibbo Umar, said this on Wednesday when he paid an unscheduled visit to where over 800 persons living with HIV/AIDS were gathered to receive free retroviral drugs and food ratio donated by the FCT administration.
The minister directed that the event scheduled for every last Tuesday of the month, should now be fortnightly to afford more people benefit from the exercise.
