Thousands of
MTN subscribers
in Ibadan, Oyo State, were full of excitement when the telecommunications giant berthed there last Saturday and splashed various exciting gifts on them.
The gifts ranged from power generating sets, Hi-fi sound systems, high end handsets, branded exercise books, balls, T-shirts, among others. It was during its recent Xtra Connect Xmas Carnival.
Adults, youths and children were all in attendance and they went home with different gifts. Most of the residents of the city thronged both Trans Wonder land park and Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (BCOS) ground where the events took place simultaneously, in an atmosphere spiced with comedy and non-stop musical funfare.
This programme, tagged “Going Places With a Heart Full of Thanks,”according to Mr Aminu Sani, MTN Xtra Connect Brand Specialist, was to recognise the position of the subscribers to its success story over the years, and to thank them for their loyalty and for being part of the network.
He also said MTN as a responsible corporate business organisation did not only believe in doing business and making profits, but also in giving back to the society in which it operates.”
Also, MTN subscribers in Akure, Ondo State, were rewarded for their loyalty to the network on Friday as the telecoms service provider took time out to celebrate with the people of the area.
