UBA Sierra Leone begins operations

Leone) Limited on Tuesday commenced banking operations at the bank’s first branch and head office located in Freetown.
The provision of the full range of corporate and consumer banking services followed the official presentation of its operating licences by officials of the bank of Sierra Leone in fulfillment of the conditions stipulated by the apex regulatory banking institution in the country.
Receiving the licence, UBA Sierra Leone’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Abdul-rahman Yinusa, urged Sierra Leoneans to embrace UBA and view the bank as a partner in the development and economic growth.
“As Africa’s global bank, we are committed to bringing comprehensive, world-class financial services to all the markets in which we operate and make positive contributions to their respective economies at large,” he said.
