Determined to give a good account of himself at the forthcoming Beijing Olympics, Nigeria's Uche Chukwumerije Jnr, has intensified his training by moving from London to Asia.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reported that Chukwumerije won gold medals in taekwondo at the 8th All Africa Games in 2003 and at the Algiers Games in 2007.
Jonathan Nnaji, Vice President of the Taekwondo Federation of Nigeria (TAN), said in Lagos that Chukwumerije was determined to excel at the Games which holds in August.
Nnaji said the player decided to move to the unnamed Asian country in his bid to win a gold at Beijing 2008.
NAN reported that Asia is the home of martial arts, comprising judo, karate, taekwondo and kung-fu, among others.
Chukwumerije began his training for the Olympics in the United States before he moved to London. “Chukwumerije has rounded off his training in London and has since relocated to Asia,'' Nnaji said.
