The Super Eagles new invitee, Barnsley FC's Kayode Odejayi has expressed excitement over his invitation to the national team ahead of the international friendly against Austria and the 2010 World Cup qualifier against South Africa, just as he promised to justify the confidence reposed in him by the Eagles coaches.

Tte bulky player who spoke to Tribunesports through his nephew, Biodun Odejayi of MTN Communications, could not hide his feeling when the news of the invitation got to him.

According to Odejayi, Kayode has been looking forward to playing for Nigeria for sometimes now but as a player who believes in time, he has to wait for his time, submitting that now that he has been invited, he is ready to honour the invitation and give a good account of himself.

Kayode, whose lone goal sent out Chelsea FC out to English FA Cup at the quarter-final stage, also promised not to disappoint Nigerians and the coach, assuring that he would give a good account of himself to justify the invitation and the confidence the technical crew had in him.
