Vote for AC tomorrow, Atiku asks Adamawa voters

25.04.2008

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar on Thursday rounded off campaign for tomorrow’s governorship election in Adamawa state with a call on the people of the state to vote for the Action Congress (AC) which he said was the guarantee for the development and peaceful inter-ethnic relations in the state.

In a special message repetedly broadcast on his new radio station,Gohen, Atiku said the AC rather than the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was the party that could guarantee that all segments of the Adamawa society would be represented in and protected by the government.

He said the rescheduled election was another oppurtunity for the state to resume its development efforts which were truncated by the nine-month administration of the PDP-led government in the state.

“Adamawa people heaved a sigh of relief when the Appeal Court sacked that government a few weeks ago. Now, we have another opportunity to resume the steady progress the state was making before the PDP Administration truncated it.

A government of the Action Congress will make education more affordable and improve its quality. The Action Congress government will work with our farmers and livestock owners to create greater access to credit, inputs and market.
